SunRise UMC considers church membership to be a very important step in our
Christian walk. The new member classes have been designed specifically to
address questions about our faith and relationship with Christ.
Our intent is to help you explore the foundations of the Christian faith
and build friendships within SunRise UMC.
Each of the four classes will be one and a half hours long with several
time options for you to attend. Each person joining must attend all four
of the New Member Classes. Joining Sundays follow the completion of the
four sessions and persons can join at any of our services. Childcare is provided as needed.
Does everyone who joins SunRise have to attend New Member Classes?
We ask that every person who attends SunRise attend these classes. Those
attending have found them informative and a great way to meet other new
people within the church.
What do I need to do to attend these classes?
Anyone interested in joining SunRise should attend the pre-requisite course,
Exploring SunRise. The Explore SunRise class is one-time, 90min. session.
Please contact the SunRise office to find out when the next Explore class will be held.
When is the next New Member Class?
Upon completion of the Explore SunRise course, anyone wishing to join SunRise
can attend the 4-session New Member Class. Please contact the SunRise office to find out when the next New Member classes will be held.
