Our purpose in children’s ministries at SunRise United Methodist Church is
to lay a spiritual foundation through relationships where kids grow,
experience, and share Christ.
Jesus wanted children to come to Him and know of his compassion for them.
(Matthew 19:13-14) Here at SunRise, we seek the same! Our goal is to develop
children into fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ. This means our kids grow
up to love God, are actively worshipping Him, and are in the process of growing
to honor God in all areas of their lives.
Our ministry includes:
SunKids
Curriculum-based, age-appropriate programs for children in preschool through grade
5 that correspond with three of the four worship services here at SunRise. Choose a time
and class that fits your family’s needs and schedule!
Special Events for Kids
Vacation Bible School, First Communion Study, 2nd Grade Bible
Presentation/Explore the Bible Adventure,
Breakfast in Bethlehem, and other special events throughout the year for children
and their families.
Nursery
Care for infants through 36 months provided during the four worship services here
at SunRise, and for several adult programs and special events.
Kids Club
Care for children in preschool through grade 5 during specific adult
programs and special events.
SunRise Preschool
Developmentally appropriate weekday program for three, and four year-olds.
Curriculum follows guidelines of the National Association for the Education of the Young Child (NAYEC).
