VBS DONATIONS
Vacation Bible School 2008 "PowerLab" is right around the corner! You can still help support VBS this year by donating supplies! Visit the VBS display in the lobby to take a flask or beaker marked with the supply items that we need! Please be sure to mark down on the clipboards provided your name and what item you will be bringing back! Please bring all items back to SunRise by June 19th. Perishable items should be taken to the kitchen and placed either in the fridge or freezer (if needed) on the shelves marked VBS! HABITAT FOR HUMANITY WORK DAYS
If you didn't get on the list to help, don't worry! The next work day will be June 21st! (Other work days will be: JULY 5, JULY 19). Work days are between 7:45am-2pm. SAVEONE: A GUIDE TO EMOTIONAL HEALING AFTER ABORTION
On July 19, SunRise will begin a 12-week abortion recovery program. Save One is a Biblically-based study created for those who have suffered in silence after an abortion. PRESCHOOL PROGRAMMING ON SATURDAYS!

KEEP ON BRINGING ALUMINUM CANS!!!
The money received from aluminum cans which has been supporting our church's lawn mowing will now be used for all landscaping projects to beautify church property. The trustees are forming a Landscaping Committee to coordinate this effort.

• Keep bringing in your cans! The more we get, the more we can do! Place bagged aluminum cans in the bin outside labeled "Aluminum Cans Only"!

FEED MY SHEEP
The first weekend of each month is Feed My Sheep weekend! Please remember to bring non-perishable items to be donated to area food pantries. Please place donations into the Feed My Sheep basket at the Mission Porch in the SunRise lobby. Thank you!

If you have expertise in areas, such as roofing, siding, plumbing, in other areas and if you are willing to help the church out once in while, let me know. In addition, if you have had a successful experience with any maintenance companies, please refer them to me. BAND MEMBERS NEEDED
The SunRise Worship Team currently has urgent needs for acoustic/electric guitar players, male singers, a bass guitar player and an electric lead player. Players serve on one of two rotating teams that serve in worship two weekends per month. LIFT YOUR HEARTS IN PRAYER
The Staff and Prayer Team would love to have our Prayer Room filled during the services. Prayer is a special connection we have with God which enriches all aspects of spiritual life. For worship participants it is especially meaningful to know that the service and everyone in attendance is being blanketed with prayer. A willing heart and the ability to carry on a conversation with our Lord is all that is required. Please contact Pastor Tammy at 978-2727 if you would like to serve in this area of ministry.

HELP RAISE MONEY FOR HABITAT!
At the McCluer Entrance to SunRise, you will notice a clothing dropbox! If you have clothing or shoes that you would like to donate, please put them in plastic bags and place them in the box. Proceeds will go to fund the Habitat for Humanity house that SunRise will be helping with in 2007. If you would like more information about Habitat for Humanity, contact Walt Myers: (636) 265-9939.

LET THE HANDY HELPERS DO IT!
The SunRise United Methodist Men Fellowship have undertaken a service project called "Handy Helpers", which will provide assistance with home chores for those in our church family who need help from time to time. When there is a home task than needs attention, a request for assistance may be made through the SunRise office at 978-2727. All work will be scheduled on Saturdays between 8am and noon.

You've heard it a million times. But things just aren't coming together. You're still hurting. You need someone to listen and walk along with you during this time.
