We exist to assist the Holy Spirit to worship, welcome, empower, grow and transform the un-churched
into active believers in the Kingdom of God.
Every ministry, program, mission, event, and activity is to be intentional in introducing people to
a life committed to Jesus Christ.
At SunRise, we strive:
to be a faith community whose values, lifestyles, and relationships are different from the world,
to provide an anchor of stability in a world of chaos, where families learn together the truth about God,
to be individuals who are deeper in our faith, powerful in our prayer, stronger in our relationships, and wider in our witness.
Ministry at SunRise
SunRise has shaped ministry to reflect the words Jesus used to set the
first church into motion. In the Gospel of Matthew and in the Book of
Acts Jesus commissioned the new believers to share the truth about God
from their homes to the ends of the earth. The Bible tells us the purpose
of our existence is to live our lives for God. At SunRise we have are
working together and growing together so others may live fully within
the purpose of their creation. Purposeful ministry happens at SunRise
through the following areas of concentration:
Invite
SunRise exists to communicate God's word and His message of salvation. We are to
tell the whole world of Christ's coming, His death on the cross, His
resurrection, and His promised return. It is our responsibility to share the
Good News wherever we are and wherever we go. Invite at SunRise
takes into consideration those "soon-to-be-believers" who are within our
community, how we will attract them to hear the gospel, and what we must
do to extend hospitality to make them feel welcomed and important once
they arrive at SunRise.
Adore
SunRise exists to adore & worship God with all of its heart, soul and mind.
Adore is the celebration and expression of our Love for God in giving Him thanks
for His first loving us. Adore at SunRise brings together those all
along the faith journey who are seeking to express their love for God and
desire to be drawn close to Him in relationship.
Connect
SunRise exists to provide support & fellowship to growing believers. Personal
identification and inclusion into the body of Christ is vital to building a
relationship with God as well as with other believers. Connect at SunRise provides
multiple opportunities to welcome and assimilate believers into the fellowship
of the family of God.
Grow
SunRise exists to continually educate believers in the process of being more
like Christ in their thoughts, feelings and actions. It is the church's
responsibility to assist people in developing spiritual maturity. Grow at SunRise
focuses primarily on providing the necessary instruction for an ever increasing
knowledge of God.
Serve
SunRise exists to serve all people in the name of Jesus Christ. The church is to
identify and minister to all kinds of needs; spiritual, emotional, relational,
and physical. Serve at SunRise is demonstrating God's love to others by meeting
their needs and healing their hurts in the name of Jesus while equipping
believers for the work of service. Effective service happens both within the church
family, as well as our outreach to those within our world.
